I need Wave Nouveau advice. What kind of care do I need?

Tomorrow I am getting wave Nouveau. I havent had a relaxer perm since the end of October. My new growth isn't long butnmy new growth is very very very unmanageable. I was wondering how long is my new growth supposed to be and if I can leave any relaxed hair on the ends even if it is a centimeter or an inch. What care would I need for the new hair style? I can't find much info online about it. I am really nervous.
