How do you get pretty shiny curls? And longer hair?

I'm mixed so my hair is kinky curly. I like it but it just gets soooooooooooooo fizzy and unmanageable. And don't say leave in conditioner, gel,mousse,or hairspray because I've already tried that. Then my hair is pretty long except it seems shoulder length because of the curls and I would love it if it was longer.
