My side fringe is becoming unmanageable...?

So, I got a side fringe about a month ago and it's already grown to the point where it's over my eyes. Gosh! I can't see ANYTHING! I can pin it up, but it looks really ugly, and I don't like it pinned up. It's not too bad when I have the fringe straightened, but like right now, when it's curly, I can't manage it and it gets in the way. Is there a way I can keep my hair from getting this curly and messy so quickly?
