My hair is so dry and gross no matter what I do it is so unmanageable and gross. I'm 16, caucasian, and so are both my parents as well as my grandparents so I know it's not genetics that causes my hair to be the way it is. I used to have beautiful hair when I was younger (age 1 to 12) then I started dying it and stuff. BUT i havent died my hair in almost a year now I get trims regularly and I barely even style it with heat anymore. No matter what I do I have like one good hair day every 2 months! My hair on the front of my head where my bangs are, is thinning and I have no idea why! I take a multivitamin every day (GNC Active Womens) and I sometimes skip days from washing my hair to let the oils in my hair help it or whatever. I trim my own hair with regular cutting scissors...but theres no way thats the problem because even my roots are gross. Roots should always be the healthiest part of your hair because it's the newest but mine totally isn't! I'm thinking about switching my shampoos to more expensive ones like instead of herbal essences I'll switch to Nexxus or something. I switch my shampoos after the bottles empty to prevent buildup which is what i read in a magazine but I seriously have no idea why my hair is so gross no matter what I do to it! Im thinking about investing in the Wen hair care system as well so maybe thats a good place to start? I dont know! Any tips on vitamins to take, hair products, etc I'm totally open to! Why do i have mood swings sometimes?

Though I didn't know it at the time, I would say the first sign(s) of my mental issues were in 11th grade, I was very annoying and sometimes I was hyper and it was like I couldn't sit still (but I don't think I had/have add/adhd as I could focus really good in school), and sometimes I would cause myself pain by hitting my arm against lockers (which was in a way that it was annoying to many), and I would also sit in a way that one side of my chest was on the desk; and it hurt but I loved it. I also wouldn't hesitate to get physically when middle school kids when I was in high school (they used the same busses). I think I still have some degree of mood swings, though I feel stable now. I have very thick hair too! But don't worry I consider it a blessing. Try putting your hair into a half pony tail. I do that sometimes to make it look a little bit thinner. Also, try applying gel in your hair and scrunching it. That will control the frizz and make your hair look more managable. If you don't know how to scrunch hair, you first wet your hair. Make sure your hair isn't dripping. Then you apply about a quarter sized amount of gel on your hands (I usually add more because my hair is really thick too, then rub your hands together so the gel is on both of your hands sort of squish your hair. It should look curly when your done. Let it dry by air. That is the healthiest way. I hope I helped!!

Really damaged hair!!!!?

Hello, I have pretty damaged hair. Every-time I go to a salon they tell me I need to cut all may hair off and my hair is really damaged. I have longer hair and really do not want to cut it short. My hair is so damaged because I have wavy, thick, unmanageable hair that wont do anything normal unless I strengthen it. Thus, I go about straightening my hair just about every day. I use a heat protector, deep condition, and keep the heat on low. I try to get in a routine of only washing my hair every other day but I can't stand how greasy it is the "skip" day. Is there any advice of other things I can do to get my hair back to a healthier state or at least not let the damage progress anymore?

Well my last real period started on the 14th April, I then started light bleeding around the 5th of May which is totally unusual for me, I have never once had my period early and it was just brown blood. I then started to get extremely tired, having to take naps every day. I then started to get headaches everyday which is another thing I rarely suffer from. I went out for an evening with a friend and had one drink and it made me feel extremely sick. I then started to get a lot of pregnancy symptoms, very sore/tender breasts/nipples (also noticed montgomery tuburcles had started to appear, also very prominent blue veins) I also have prominent veins all over my body. I can feel my heart beat thrugh out my entire body and at resting it is at 96 beats per minute. I started to break out in spots very badly and my skin become very sensitive to my cleansing routine although I haven't changed anything in years. I have been so dehydrated, I can't stop drinking and have been getting up 5 to 6 times every night to go to the bathroom. I'm a vegetarian and I have been craving meat, especially pork scratchings, I also can't do washing without sniffing the washing powder for about ten minutes. My hair has got very dry and unmanageable. My dog is acting really weird around me (usually jumps up at me but now just rests her paws on my belly.) I was getting cramps like period cramps for about two weeks but no period, last Sunday 5th June, I woke up at 7am in pain, I went to the bathroom, wiped and there was blood so I thought I'd started my period, I then tried to go back to sleep but found my self in extreme pain (cramping like I'd never had before) I thought I might be having a miscarriage. I took some pain killers and fell back to sleep for a couple of hours, when I woke up I felt fine. Went to the bathroom and there was no blood in my knickers, I wiped and there was blood, this continued for the day until about 6pm and the bleeding stopped completely. I have taken about ten pregnancy tests starting the 23rd of May and they've all been negative. I just feel different. I can't do my trousers up anymore and some days I am so bloated, I've never had this before. Today I went to the bathroom and there was a tiny bit of brown blood. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. So hopefully I'll find out then. What do you think? Sorry this is so long.

Woman, nipple/breast/chest pain in pregnancy, all experiances please?

Okay so between may 16th - 24th me & my bf had unprotected sex about 8 times, and i am noy trying to be pregnant, but we wernt thinking at the time, i think i may have got pregnant from the 21st, i WAS ovalating and we had sex twice that day, and he came alot in me, and it lasted about 45 minutes. But took a test on june 7th, around 2 weeks later, too soon probably, but it came neg so i got the depo shot, but i felt bad cause idk if it would show up in 2 weeks, today about a month or so later, my breast hurts kind of in between, maybe heartburn.? And my nipples are sensitive and sore feeling, they are a dark pink purple color and i cabt stand wearing any bras but it hurts to not wear one too, is there still a chance of pregnancy.? Other than breast, i wake up kind of nausuas and lightheaded, and ive had mood swings more emotional, oh and theres like dark vains on my nipples but there light on my boobs.. Today I went into a public bathroom and into a stall. I was taking off my backpack when the stall door slowly swung back and hit me near my right temple (a bit closer to my eye) and it only hurt for a few seconds, so I didn't pay much attention to it. Later on I was at walmart and I lightly pushed on my cheek, and there was this little tiny dot (lump) type thing on kind of on the right side of my nose about 2 centimeters above my lip, and when I pushed on it, my top right-front went numb; as well as a jolt of light pain going up my right canine tooth. I was wondering if the light blow near the temple, and the jolt of pain and numbness on my cheek and teeth were related? Please help, I don't want to go into a coma when I go to sleep, lol.

Does crown molding go with country themed decor?

A little background...we have a farmhouse or country looking home (it has a full length covered front porch with rocking chairs and a swing) with tan siding and maroon stairs and deck with white trim railings. Inside I used to like old world style but it never really worked. So I'd like to go casual country (not too extreme). The problem is my dining room has 10 or 12 foot ceiling with crown molding and I thought that crown was more traditional. My husband doesn't think the country theme is going to work and insists he likes the tuscan look. "Best Friend" Trouble.?

I went through this once too...and unfortunately I'm going with it with two more of my best friends. The first time it happened, everyone in the school hated me. She told everyone I was a whore and a lesbian and a ***** and you know what? Everyone believed it, no explanation necessary. The teachers knew, and seemed to ignore me too. Eventually I got someone to talk to me and I told them that none of those things were true, and explaained what happened between me and my friend and why she was acting this way (its so stupid - I didnt have time to do a project with her so I told her we should do our own and she got pissed), and eventually my other bff began to talk to me and understand. For a while, I was ignored, called some very interesting names, gagged at in the hallways, the list goes on....but you know? In the end, I ended up having two friends who trusted me and loved me and didn't make up rumors about me, and just weren't...fake...Unfortunately not all stories have happy endings, and now I've decided to no longer be their friend because they were making jokes about me and said some very hurtful things (they didn't realize I was behind them). So the girl that I was friends with before I found even my first best friend is now the one I love because she doesn't judge me, and she would never make up rumors about me, let alone anyone else. I guess I sorta forgot she was there, always in the back ground and being my friend when I needed one...So my advice to you is to find that seemingly girl in the background whos always been your friend, if you have one. You just need to go around and talk to people, and explain the story to them, no matter how personal. I have long, brown, very curly hair. It is extremely frizzy and it gets tangled very easily. I have so many flyaways and my hair is just unmanageable. I am currently taking yasmin birth control but went to my doctor to get switched because I was starting early and would have random bouts of nausea. I have been on yasmin for close to three years now. My doctor suggested tri cyclen Lo but after reading some peoples experiences with it I'm a little scared. I have heard of weight gain and near psychotic moods. I am small and (to be honest) terrified of weight gain. I also have anxiety so I would not be able to handle the mood swings. i am the same age and have the same hair and i know, it is REALLY uncomfortable! You need to use a lot of conditioner because of the thickness but make sure you rinse it out COMPLETELY! if you don't it will make your hair greasy. then try putting it in braids before you go to bed. this is just all around good because it protects your hair and helps it grow. also, if you want to straighten your hair yourself with a flat iron, try using heat protection spray and shampoo/conditioner with heat protection. also, you could do a half-up-half-down thing where you just put the top layer of your hair in a ponytail, it looks pretty cute and your hair doesn't feel so thick. and, instead of spending money at a salon to get it straightened, you can just ask your hair-dresser to cut your hair in layers.

Well hon, you just worked yourself into a dead end. Cutting it is the only way it's going to grow. Because if you've got as bad split ends as you say, your hair will barely grow. Again, repairing shampoo can't fix a split end either. Once it's split, you just gotta chop it off and start fresh. The fact that you don't use heat protectant spray is an even bigger thing. If it makes your hair greasy, put in some baby powder by the roots to take in that excess oil. Honestly, I use it all the time, and my hair turns out fine. Straightening it that often isn't that bad if you get it trimmed regularly and use a heat protectant spray. But since you don't do either AND use a blowdryer (more heat) you're just trying to kill of your hair. Just get yourself a hair cut, use styling products and work w/ natural hair, or if it's THAT bad, then just relax/rebond your hair. That's basically permanantly straightening it, so you don't have to always apply heat. But seriously, just let your hair air dry if you must.

I have been to the doctor a lot lately. I went in February because my hair is falling out, and they checked my hormones. My hormones came back as me having too much estrogen, and not enough testosterone. I then went because I was tired all of the time, and I would fall asleep at the strangest moments, like while at school and in public constantly. I also have passed out a couple of times going to the bathroom, so they are doing a sleep study to see if I have narcolepsy. I am taking birth control but i did miss a pill by nine hours 3 weeks ago... I am having odd symptoms that have been evident for the last week. HELP with unmanageable frizzy hair!?

Hey. Lately my hair is been behaving bad, everytime i scrunch my hair which is naturally wavy and curly, i end up with big frizzy hair that doesn't even scrunch anymore it doesnt make curls, i use herbal essences mousses and gels. k im 16, but ive been this way since as long as i can remember. like lets say im having tacos ill eat until there are no tortillas left and then ill find another way to eat the beans and cheese. im never hungry feeling or full feeling. ive felt full twice in my life, one of those times i was really sick with the flue. and the other i was at olive garden and ive eaten two or three plates of the salad my pasta and the three thing appetizer and an italian soda drink thing, its a 30 minute drive and about 10 minutes into it i felt hungry again. im just gonna assume something isnt connecting from my stomach to brain. im 5 foot 8 so that can have something to do with it but i eat more than the heavy set girls i know do. i have huge cravings and mood swings when i dont get the food i want when and how i want it. also uhmm like literally 2-5 minutes after i finish the food and theres none left i say things to who ever im eating with like "wow remember when those burgers just got here and we had a whole thing of fries i miss that" i cant help but think about how i want more the whole day. when im not eating im thinking about eating or talking about it. i know it probably annoys my friends that id rather tell them about what i had for dinner that night than how my date was. its true food is my favorite topic.

I am 18 and about to start college. Sometimes I am very confident, talkative, and motivated, but sometimes I have no confidence in myself, am very shy, and I don't even want to get out of bed. My mom just calls me lazy and tells me I'm just making stupid excuses when I express these concerns, but I'm pretty sure it's something more serious. I know teenagers have mood swings and hormones make us crazy, but it happens all the time. There are months where I have no motivation to do anything at all. I don't want to get out of bed, I lay around the house all day, my family goes to the gym, but I just have no motivation to step out of the house or go work out. I have no confidence, I don't want to talk to anyone, I don't want to hang out with my friends, I just don't want to do anything. But then there are times where I do want to go work out and do stuff and a feel confident and like I'm worth something. I used to think it was just laziness I would outgrow, but as I get older, it stays the same and I really don't want to be like this anymore, but I just can't change myself.

Also ur pill could be the reason for these symptoms, u may need to go to ur doctors & change ur pill. I used to be on the pill & it make have migraine & feel sick, so my doctors gave me new 1s & now I feel fine :) either way going 2 ur doctor is probably the best option :)

I'm 16, caucasian, and so are both my parents as well as my grandparents so I know it's not genetics that causes my hair to be the way it is. I'm thinking about switching my shampoos to more expensive ones like instead of herbal essences I'll switch to Nexxus or something. I switch my shampoos after the bottles empty to prevent buildup which is what i read in a magazine but I seriously have no idea why my hair is so gross no matter what I do to it! Well you can always let it grow out so you can cut it and once you get a haircut with a perm it goes away. I have had a perm done to my hair twice and now my hair is straight :) You should go to the manager and tell him that you was dissatisfied with the service and that you didn't get the perm you had asked for.
